Moonlit Movies in Oakland Park, Florida
The City of Oakland Park, located just outside Fort Lauderdale, recently purchased an Epic HD Premier Cinema system with 20 ft. screen, for their new “Moonlit Movies” program.
Their movie series debuted March 30th, with the showing of “Happy Feet 2”. Joe Fazekas, Recreation Program Manager, said it was a big hit with the community, with over 200 people enjoying the Friday night movie. “It is the best thing we have brought to Oakland Park in a long time”, commented one resident.
The Moonlit Movies series will continue in late April with the showing of “Dolphin Tale”. The movie will be shown in partnership with the Relay for Life, a national fundraising organization committed to assisting people with cancer and their care givers. The movie is sponsored by The Mann Family in memory of Ronald J Mann MD.
